Seal of the King is a thrilling adventure that embraces you until the very end. At the core of the story is the connection and love between David and Aurora. Author Ralph Smith’s writing brings this facet of the story to life with an openness and belonging that touches your very soul. Readers can easily see that the bond between David and Aurora was meant to be. As they fight for their fate one can’t help but to hope for their success.

Smith creates two worlds at two very different times with a clarity that effortlessly transports you there. The enemy is dark and foreboding demanding strength, intelligence and faith to overcome. David and Aurora transcend their place in time to come together and fulfill their destiny. Smith is able to weave all the elements together to create an unforgettable adventure. When the story was over I was left craving more and eager for the next book in the series.

For an experience full of adventure, suspense, mystery, spirituality, hope, love and fighting the good fight, I highly recommend it!

5.0 out of 5 stars I Guess I Should Have Looked At the Category, But Than I Might Have Missed It, July 11, 2014

This review is from: Seal of the King (Kindle Edition)
Well where to begin this review oh hold on just a second let me unhook my seatbelt what a ride this book was. To give a little confession I was about five pages into it before I realized that this is Christian based principles abstractly guiding this story.

But the biggest shock even after I made that realization is that I kept reading. Not that I have issues with Christian based anything I just don’t usually enjoy it. I’m being honest and in that vein I have to say I enjoyed the heck out of this book.

Interesting when you allow your mind to stay open to an experience what you discover about yourself and others. What I discovered about this author is that he is a good writer Christian based book or not. His characters are incredibly strong and well defined especially for a first in a series. I happen to be a series junkie I prefer them to stand alone.

I also consider myself a series potential expert LOL based on how much material is covered in a part of the plot kind of way I have to say this book has huge potential. I really enjoyed the fact that the story lines started unraveling on word one. There was no forced three chapter read involved to glean information to understand the dynamics of the players.

Although it is the dialogue that gave the whole Christian based book away to me it does not come off as preach or diabolically designed to recruit new sheep to the flock. Author Ralph Smith has managed to stay true to his personal principles while writing a great book. I will admit a little surprise at the romance scenes. But then I guess you don’t have to commit murder to write a mystery soooooooooooooooo well you do the math LOL.

I feel like the subtext of this book was very interesting and gave great insight to the principle and some of the larger supporting characters. I really liked the dichotomy of Aurora and felt that David was a classic still waters run deep kind of guy who you naturally are drawn to.

Overall I thought this was a great first to a series and look forward to reading more which is why I signed up for the email alert for new books in the series. It’s at the top right of the page just so you know. I’m giving this author a five and hope he will share the glory with a couple of very well written characters, nice job.

4.0 out of 5 stars Didn’t disappoint!, July 8, 2014

I bought the book basked on the fantastic reviews, and it sure didn’t disappoint!

I’ve been searching for a Christian fantasy book for the longest time, and this book is exactly what I’m searching for.

Aurora and David had visions of each other throughout their lives, and it has formed a bond that even the different worlds can’t keep them apart.

When they finally met, there is an ease about them. Despite having met in real person for the first time, they had already seen each other through visions and had been each other’s strength throughout the tough times.

Right from the start, the book as my adrenaline pumping as I flipped through the pages. It’s an action-packed book with dangers lurking everywhere for Aurora and David.

But as a avid romance reader, I really enjoyed watching Aurora and David’s relationship.

I think this is a great book for young adults to read. David’s respect and treatment of Aurora throughout their relationship is something that every guy should learn and every lady should expect. In today’s world where women are dressing scantily to get attention and teenage moms are not a rare sight, this book brings out an important message: Ladies, if the guy truly loves you, he’ll respect you and want the best for you.

There is some passionate scenes in the book, but I don’t think it’s over the top.

I am, however, taking away a star because there are some typos and way too many mistakes on the punctuation for the dialogues that makes reading a little difficult and confusing.

Other than that, it’s a great read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Extremely Engaging Story Line! Two Soul Mates Fighting Off Darkness., July 8, 2014

‘Seal Of The King’ is a brilliant story that is a perfect blend of various genres. This is an inspiring story based on the age old fight between darkness and light; good and evil. This fight is fought by David, a farmer, and Aurora, a warrior. It is now up to these brave fighters to save the world from the befalling darkness. These soul mates have been destined to be with each other and have had an emotional connection long before they even met.

The two protagonists of this story have been brilliantly portrayed and will steal your breaths away in no time. This story has just the right amount of romance, mixed with historical – almost Biblical – fiction and a dash of adventure/action. The story has been described well to such a proximity that it makes you feel like you’re a part of it. It brings the characters and the scenes to life. This makes everything really exciting and makes it impossible for you to put the book down before having completed it.

This book seemed irresistible to me after I’d read the description and I bought the book without giving it a second thought. And, boy am I glad to have made that decision. I was absolutely taken away by the creative story line of the book and the mind of the author. The writing style of Ralph is amazing. This is a book I would recommend to all fans of fiction, history and romance. This is one book you don’t wanna miss out on.
